In today’s business, employee motivation is playing a significant role to create sustainable competitive advantages and becoming a vital issue of regular business practices that ultimately help to ensure the better market positioning of a firm. The prime aim of this study is to investigate the current status of the policies to labour motivation in different factories of Ready Made Garments in Chittagong Export Processing Zone, to improve the practices and remedies’ if any to ensure their productivity. This study also provides deeper insights into the importance of implementing of those practices. To fulfill the objectives of the study and to find data from the diverse groups, personal interviews were conducted from executives of different enterprises, information collected from the workers working in those factories  and general response have been received from individuals of diverse professions. An important finding of the study is that sampled companies are well concerned regarding the issues of motivational practices and their productivity which indicate the favorable productive situation of Bangladesh. From the study it is found that both the companies and their stakeholders feel the necessities of exercising different tools and techniques to improve labour productivity in today’s competitive business arena by providing favorable environment. Respondents believe that sufficient motivational tools could bring better benefits for the companies. Important steps like increasing the awareness of environmental issues, governmental support, making suitable rules and regulations and ensuring their implementation, nurturing positive attitude towards implemented practice could be effective in removing the current rigidity of management of some companies of Bangladesh. The most important implication of the study is that the business organizations, government, policy makers, and managers may consider the findings of the study in their policy-making and business practices.
