FOLIAR APPLICATION OF LIQUID NUTRIENT SOLUTIONS ON DENDROBIUM (SONIA-17)
An experiment was conducted at Rooftop Garden, Department of Horticulture, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Bangladesh to evaluate the efficiency of the different commercially available liquid fertilizers on dendrobium orchid (Sonia-17). Experiment was consisted of different liquid nutrient solutions with F0 (control), F1 (Calsol), F2 (Wuxal) and F3 (Flora). Longest pseudobulb (53.6 cm), maximum girth of pseudobulb (19.1 mm), number of pseudobulb (16.9), number of leaves (4.4/pseudobulb), leaf area (207.7 cm2), length of spike (39.9 cm) and diameter of spike (24.3 mm) were found from F2 which were statistically similar with F3 but maximum number of spike (14.8/plant), girth of spike (7.7 mm), number of floret (10.3/spike) and diameter of floret (10.0 cm) was found from F3 which were statistically similar with F2 while minimum from control.
