FACTORS OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT ON SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY: A REVIEW

An
extensive range of literature are reviewed on project management,
sustainability and social sustainability and found that most of the literature
focuses on environment and economic aspects. The study critically analyzes factors
of project management, reasons of failure of a project, the impact of the
project management on the social aspects especially on displacement and
resettlement, labor practice, occupational health and safety, ethical issues.
It also provides a comparative statement on social sustainability practices in
Bangladesh and UK as well as how project management authority addresses the
social sustainability issues in selected projects. Finally, the findings of the
study will contribute realistic insights on social sustainability to
forthcoming project authorities, practitioners, researches and policy makers.
The study was conducted between the period of June-2018 to November-2018.
