EFFECT OF PRE-HARVEST B AND Zn SPRAY ON YIELD AND QUALITY OF STRAWBERRY
A field experiment was conducted during May 2014 to April 2015 at Horticulture Farm, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Bangladesh. The experiment was consisted of three level of micronutrients as- M0, Control; MB, Boron and MZn, Zinc and laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design with four replications. The productivity of strawberry enhanced significantly by the alone applications of B and Zn. However, Zn application proved the best. Hence, maximum number of fruits (26.3/plant), fruit weight (369.9g/plant), brix (7.3%) and yield (10.6 t/ha) was found for MZn while the minimum in M0. The number of runners also increased with the zinc sulphate. So, it can be concluded that zinc showed the best performance for growth and yield of strawberry.
