This article reviewed on general overview of sustainable agriculture intensification in Nepal which is inevitable due to the increasing food requirements for rapidly growing population and decreasing limited productive agricultural lands. With the increased road links and market access, conventional farming is now transforming into intensified cropping systems, especially in peri- and semi- urban areas. The cultivation of cereal crops is being shifted towards vegetables and other cash crops in the hills. Agricultural intensification contributes to enhance livelihood of farmers, improves their economical and social conditions through enhanced food security and employment generation. The adoption of agricultural intensification increases agricultural production. It is found to be viable option for better livelihood in the context of Nepal.
